#2 "Can I help you tie string to your balls?"

As we pull out onto the hwy from our laneway going south, there is the little building on the right. I finally stopped this week and found lots of goodies inside. There were all kinds of different peppers and I was afraid to buy something that would stop breathing like those found in Mexico. I got a jar of canned peaches for $6 and a lovely old barn find, a very old glass jug for $2. No one came out to serve me and there was a money box which I didn't want to touch so I left my $8 on the counter beside the box. Many hours later I called the  woman who owned the stand and explained what I had purchased and where the money was. I was informed that there was a slit in the box to put the money into!!! Missed that. I said I hoped it would still be on the counter to which she responded, "Oh, it will still be there." How refreshing.... #1 We have Arrived!!!

  Wednesday, Nov. 15th saw us loading the car and heading off to the south. Yes, the first thing to pack that morning was the anxious dog. Then I packed around him. Max had known for days that something was going on and that morning he needed no encouragement to get in the car!!! I can't remember ever leaving with the driveway looking like this. Well I guess that is because we usually leave at the beginning of January not the middle of November. As we age, we find that we like the cold less and less...... Our trip lasted 7 hours. It could have been shorter if we had of wanted to spend time on the 401 vying for position amongst the tractor trailers but we decided heading south to hwy. 3 would prove to be a more relaxing sojourn. At this point on our journey we had to deal with the two detours that were there two years ago. Bit of a surprise.
