#7 The Joy of Visitors
Three angels. Ok, maybe not..... How lovely to have family visit this week. We are out on the town here doing all of the touristy things. You can come and be a tourist too.....
I have discovered that it doesn't matter how old your kids are, they are still your kids. You want to see them, hug them, listen to them and always want what is best for them in life.
Good grief child. Give me back my camera!!!! This young lady was 20 yesterday. Now in her second year at Lakehead taking outdoor ed and becoming a teacher in another 4 years. Certainly a hard choice in this day and age. Hopefully the pendulum will swing and kids will become respectful and obedient again. I am the eternal optimist....
This is one of those magical moments when the day is dawning and the sun is peeking through. I went out to take the pic and 10 minutes later this was all clouded over. Don't miss the small moment in life of magic. They are there. Find them and enjoy them.
Another day and another gorgeous view. Rays of sunshine coming down from heaven or rays of sunshine coming down from the clouds. Which ever is your view point, enjoy.
I had to do some photo copying on Friday so headed off to the local library for the first time. The left hand side is all of the children's books and the right side is the adult section.
I wasn't sure how this was going to work so I asked. Always a good plan. I used one of the library computers and had a heck of a time getting my docs to print. This supply librarian, should there be such a title named Donna P., was amazingly helpful. She didn't quit when the going got pretty rough and stuck with it until the job was done. What an asset this woman is to the Chatham-Kent library system.
A book on the KKK caught my eye. I was shocked to see it. It was printed in 2019 and was about the rise in the KKK at this time. Oh my gosh, I've thought about that book so much, I'm going to go back and take it out. How can this be possible in this day and age??? I also want a book on the local Mennonite community. They open on Wednesday and I'll be there.
One more piece of nauticalness. It is everywhere here.
Wall mural on Main Street.
And here it is!!! Got it. Took me 5 hours. I did not find it a breeze as others had told me. Some of it was pretty mathematical and other parts were pretty involved about who over saw what. Anyway, I got 91% on the final exam and hope to be able to use it this month. I'm volunteering 4 nights at the theatre and hopefully they will need me at the bar. I would also like to be a greeter, one of my favourite jobs, or work in the box office.
New Years day breakfast is stuffed zucchini. They were very delicious and now I'm feeling stuffed!!!
I'm wishing you all a wonderful 2024. Make your dreams come true, fulfill that bucket list, enjoy every day. We are so blessed to live where we are. Be thankful.
Thanks for all the comments via email or facebook .I always love hearing from you. Come and visit. We love company!!!
