#12 Chair Yoga and The Man Cold

 

More antiquing this week. That pile is getting mighty large and Ray is actually looking at buying a truck!!!

Another day, another puzzle. This one appeals on so many levels. I'm a great lover of water and boats. Especially sail boats. Europe calls me occasionally....

Last week we couldn't go to chair yoga as we were iced in. This week we were, ok, I was so happy to be able to go. I'm so glad I took this picture before all of the lights were turned off. There were 5 of us in the class. Us and another person had never been before so potentially 2 had returned from the previous week when 9 had attended. I predict that this Wednesday no one will attend. I don't know where this woman got her training but she could have done better just watching you tube videos!!!! She had no idea how to do a class in chair yoga. I've been doing it for years and could have honestly done a better job. After about 10 minutes she had us up walking around. Really??? In a chair yoga class??? The last 30 minutes was spent in meditation. I was sure that number one, Ray would go to sleep and number 2, I was about to hear him snoring soon!!! Thank goodness we can stay home in the sunroom enjoying the view and doing chair yoga at the same time. 

We went to see a delightful home in Leamington close to this park as a potential rental for future winters. On the right you can see the band shell where concerts and events are held during the 3 seasons we won't be here. The audience sits on the hill above the stage. The next building is I believe a concession booth. There are many foot paths and a beach for swimming.

We have been a tad house bound these last few days as the man has The Man Cold. On Friday night we were at the Bank Theatre for the Monarch Cafe. Again, I was able to bartend and I think I have it down now....lol Again, we were so impressed with the caliber of artists in this area. Amazing talent!!! I am so going to miss this theatre experience when I get home. It is a small intimate theatre and the staff are all so sweet.

Going now so the editor can read this and go back to bed. I need him in the car this afternoon as we have appointment at the vet for Max. I want another opinion on his eye thing and to know if I need to get him a seeing eye dog yet!!!

  These are finished winter reads along with two Jeannette Walls books that I'm taking home for a friend to read. This batch went to the library as a donation and the next time I went in, they were on the shelf!!! The librarian said, "You read good books!" When I called in to see if the library wanted them, she asked me in a very dubious voice, "Who are the authors?" I think she was afraid that I was going to say Danielle Steel or that they were all Harlequin romances.  We finally got snow and with it came new birds including this gorgeous cardinal and his partner. We also got to see two swans flying past, blue jays, morning doves, cow birds, starlings and some unidentifiable little number.  I heard the bird hit the window. #15 Perch - Yuck & The 100 Day Cough

  This whole area is inundated with wind turbines. Sometimes they are all in sync and other times they are all doing their own thing. Lovely to see. This week found us back in Cottam getting Max groomed again. The groomer said it went even better this time. Hmmm What exactly does that mean??? We had time to waste so up the road to Essex to go to Blimey to purchase $120 worth of cup of soups from England. They are so good!!!  Since we were in the hood we dropped by to see the house we stayed in 2 years ago. What a majestic home!!! I pulled into the driveway and immediately noticed a car parked ahead of me. Then the lights came on and I figured they wanted out so I backed onto the street as I wanted to take this pic. They never did leave. They probably thought we were casing the joint. lol Love the sign and it has special significance to Tehya. #2 "Can I help you tie string to your balls?"

As we pull out onto the hwy from our laneway going south, there is the little building on the right. I finally stopped this week and found lots of goodies inside. There were all kinds of different peppers and I was afraid to buy something that would stop breathing like those found in Mexico. I got a jar of canned peaches for $6 and a lovely old barn find, a very old glass jug for $2. No one came out to serve me and there was a money box which I didn't want to touch so I left my $8 on the counter beside the box. Many hours later I called the  woman who owned the stand and explained what I had purchased and where the money was. I was informed that there was a slit in the box to put the money into!!! Missed that. I said I hoped it would still be on the counter to which she responded, "Oh, it will still be there." How refreshing....
