#14 On the Other Side of the Great Abyss......

Interesting how sometimes, in our darkest times, it is the smallest occurrences that can bring joy to our hearts.
In my life, the last two weeks have been a very tough time. I spent 12 days in bed with a copd exasperation. 48 hours in I started on my emergency drugs. 5 days worth. At the end of 5 days not much had changed. Then the great debate started of whether to call an ambulance or not. Not to take me to the hospital but to get me admitted. I carry drugs and stuff to evaluate what is going on. I can test my temperature, blood pressure, sputum colour and blood oxygen. Did I need an iv drip and oxygen up my nose? I so did not want to go through this again!!! So I toughed it out and made it!!! Scary but hey, I'm a pretty brave chick!!!
Back to the pic above.  On Valentines Day, a blur to me, Ray brought me flowers and then later in the day announced there was a surprise outside. No, not a new car.... A huge batch of balloons caught in a tree just outside of my window. Wow!!! What a joy to behold!!!

Last jigsaw finished!!! Since I haven't been out of the house in two and a half weeks, this project has been a delight to work on.

And then the blessing of the full moon. It was glorious coming up over the lake. Another joy to my heart!!!

Well, this is going to be the shortest blog ever written by me...

First to all to you who messaged me daily or almost, thank you. It meant so much.

One of the biggest disappointments was that we had been planning for weeks if not months for friends to come and visit last week and that had to be cancelled. I had the freezer stashed with special food and so many plans.... Last night I cooked the 12 lb. turkey and guess what I had for breakfast? YES, the good old turkey sandwich!!!

One of my other huge disappointments was to not hear from anyone at the church that we had been faithfully attending for 3 months, every Sunday. If you belong to a congregation and suddenly miss seeing someone please reach out. A church community should be one of loving and caring. Don't speak the words and not walk the walk!!!!!!!

Big excitement today. I'm getting out!!! We are going to go to Len's in Chatham so I can get yarn to make Tehya 3 more pairs of socks. Then we will come home and have turkey sandwiches!!! LOL!!!

We will be heading home in two and a half weeks so the packing and the last time visits to places we love has begun. This is a fantastic area to spend winter. We had one week of snow on the ground. My kind of winter!!!

Have a great week and  count your blessings not matter how small....
