#15 Perch - Yuck & The 100 Day Cough

This whole area is inundated with wind turbines. Sometimes they are all in sync and other times they are all doing their own thing. Lovely to see.

This week found us back in Cottam getting Max groomed again. The groomer said it went even better this time. Hmmm What exactly does that mean???
We had time to waste so up the road to Essex to go to Blimey to purchase $120 worth of cup of soups from England. They are so good!!!
Since we were in the hood we dropped by to see the house we stayed in 2 years ago. What a majestic home!!! I pulled into the driveway and immediately noticed a car parked ahead of me. Then the lights came on and I figured they wanted out so I backed onto the street as I wanted to take this pic. They never did leave. They probably thought we were casing the joint. lol

Love the sign and it has special significance to Tehya. It is on the way to Harrow where one of the really good second hand stores can be found.

"What do you mean? You have redesigned the back of the car? I happen to like it the way Honda made it." The look in my eyes was so fierce that the Man had it fixed 24 hours later.

I don't care what you threaten me with, I can not eat one more piece of sushi!!! Until next week....

I hope to be able to sit here and read at least once before we leave next week. I have loved living here for the winter with the water being so close and changing constantly. This day it was a Caribbean turquoise. You will have to take my word on that.

We went out for lunch the other day to Lil Hill's here in Wheatley and I kept insisting that we needed to eat a perch dinner as it is renowned in this area. I thought we were both in on this but when it came to order, the Man ordered chili.

Well, I was so disappointed. The perch was about the size of a large butterflied shrimp. So tough it was like trying to chew deep fried cardboard. I will never eat that again unless....someone can cook it maybe in a cream white sauce with cheese and white wine.....

I hear the chili was really good!!!

Every day a bit more gets packed. This is a pile of new finds to be added to an already packed car almost 4 months ago. Max may have to share the back seat. It won't be the first time.

I was at a local antique business the other day hacking and blowing my nose whining about how this germ would just not die and the woman said, "You must have the 100 Day Cough everyone is complaining about." Oh great!!! Ray has only go another 73 days to go so that makes me have another 80 days!!!

I did receive a call this week from the pastor of our local church. Ray has dug his heels in and is refusing to go back. I'm working on congregational solutions to this problem which appears to be pretty universal and needs to change.

We are off to Leamington now to get dog eye drops, tank tops for the soon to arrive summer, get the car washed to make sure it doesn't leak and drop off stuff at the Thrift on Mill. I also have another delicious pile of books to donate to the library and a pile of egg cartons for a local chicken farmer.

God Bless. Stay safe. Avoid germs and keep smiling!!!
